Luckily I was able to sleep a bit after Andrew left which never seems to happen lately so my body definitely doesn't feel well.
Sadly when I don't feel well neither do my legs. When I spoke with my neuro about this she said it was normal. The first trip out of bed this morning was very clumsy and I was cursing the fact that my walker wheels make it a tight squeeze into the bathroom even without the bathroom door. So after that I seemed to be ok until about noon and then just felt miserable again.
My hands very tingly and my legs very much so annoying.
I think perhaps I overdid it this weekend between PT and my pedicure outing. Then preparing everything last night for the week and dinner.
I get awfully Whiney when I don't feel well. Which annoys me, but I can't help it! I just want my mom here to take care of me. Although I can't complain too much since I did have one of my parents taking care of me for like 7 months.
Instead I had a little baby bear who wanted her belly fed at like 2. So I gave her a snack and then immediately after she wanted more! She then started knocking over the garbage can. Every time I picked it up she would knock if over. Then I was holding the can up so she started trying to claw and bite me. Such a little brat. Finally at about 4 she gave up and went to lay in the other room.
I got a nap in for a few hours and woke up covered in sweat and feeling worse than before. Legs still super shakey. My knees were very very angry and I could barely stand.
This definitely frustrated me. I couldn't help but wonder if it was because it was my high dose steroid day or just because I felt like crap. It's really hard to say.
I honestly cannot believe I have another cold. I almost refuse to admit it.
I even wore a damn mask when I went to kaiser last time!
I'm going to be trying this tonight to help me sleep courtesy of mum and dad B:
I'm hoping this will help relax me and I will be able to fall asleep before 2am! I'm always willing to give anything a try. Some days I can pass out at like 10pm and some nights I'm awake until like 4am. My sleep schedule is so jacked up!
I've also been trying to drink a lot more water to help filter these germs out of my system. I know that's not really how it works but doctors always say to drink plenty of fluids so I'm thinking maybe it will help speed things along. I would kill for some orange juice right now, but we don't have any since I've been trying to avoid juice since there's so many calories and sugar in it. Maybe I will order some in my next grocery order.
As well as the stuff to make omelettes, turkey pinwheel sandwiches and cheesy potatoes!
I've been really wanting a sundried tomato and feta cheese (I'd also love to add spinach but we aren't currently friendly) scramble or and American cheese omelette. They don't make omelettes the same out here as they do in Michigan. The cheese here is usually just sprinkled on top. I want an ooey gooey cheesy omelet not just a sprinkle of cheese.
I confirmed my moms recipe with her
However she uses potato chips instead of ritz crackers, definitely going to have to give these a go! They sound so tasty lately.
I've been craving the Costco pinwheel sandwiches, and found this copy cat recipe. I wouldn't make as many as the recipe calls for though! I don't need that many unless I'm having a party. And I also read online to make the cream cheese with cranberry jelly. Which seems more like what is on the ones from Costco (I think although sometimes I think it tastes like blueberry lol)
Lastly I found this recipe which seemed Interesting but I am willing to give this a try in hopes they actually taste like White Castle burgers! I will have to use the big oven though so will need Andrew to help me.
I didn't make it to White Castle while I was in Michigan. Mostly because I had enough stomach issues on my own without adding the castle into the mix. However I do love the jalapeño cheeseburgers. Might have to add a few pickled jalapeño to mine ;)
Anyhow off to brush my teeth and put on some of this sleep balm and hopefully get some good sleep! Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day for my legs and more poor bloody sinuses!
